Ryan Yamada

Ryan “the Hawaiian” credits his island roots of family and togetherness when explaining the team-based, Carson Wealth approach. As a Financial Planner on the Wealth Enhancement Group, Ryan helps to support Carson’s advisory teams by researching and building effective strategies to help clients make educated and more informed decisions about their life and their money.

A graduate of Creighton University, Ryan’s entrance into the Financial Services industry began with a Fortune 500 insurance company where he served in a number of roles and helped to manage a team of Financial Advisors. Through this experience, Ryan was able to gain invaluable insight into the lives and behaviors of his clients, while also finding a passion for helping individuals visualize and build their ideal retirement.

Ryan holds his Series 6, 63 and 65 registrations with Cetera and CWM LLC, and will be finishing his coursework for the Certified Financial Planner designation later this year. Having come from the broker-dealer world, he feels strongly that clients need to know the difference between product-centric financial sales and the comprehensive advice that comes from a true Fiduciary.

When he’s not working with clients or crunching numbers, Ryan can be found teaching Jiu-jitsu classes as a Brown Belt instructor under the 10th Planet system or doing food photography on his latest cooking projects. Ryan and his fiancée Shannon are pushovers for their dog Sadie. The three of them enjoy evening walks around their neighborhood in the Old Market or traveling the country whenever they have the chance.

Ryan’s sweet tooth for chocolates and baked goods can only be trumped by a slice of pizza.

His favorite holiday is Christmas because of his annual pilgrimage home to visit his family in Hawaii.
